BLUETTI D050S DC Charging Enhancer: 500W

The BLUETTI D050S is a 500W DC Charging Enhancer that adds solar, car and lead-acid battery charging to the B230, B300 and EB-series, and connects expansion batteries to the older AC200 and AC200P. It also adds up to 500W of extra solar input to the AC200P and AC200MAX, useful for NZ off-grid and campervan setups.

Connected to a BLUETTI B230 or B300, the BLUETTI D050S adds a 12–60V solar input, so the battery can charge from panels on its own, without a power station.

Car and lead-acid battery charging

Plug the BLUETTI D050S into your vehicle’s 12V or 24V socket, or connect it to a lead-acid battery, to top up your BLUETTI battery on the road or from an existing battery bank.

Faster solar charging for the AC200P and AC200MAX

The BLUETTI D050S connects through the expansion battery port and adds a second DC charging path alongside the station’s own solar input. That lifts total solar input to up to 1,200W on the AC200 and AC200P, and up to 1,400W on the AC200MAX.

Connect newer batteries to the AC200 and AC200P

The original AC200 and AC200P can’t connect directly to the newer B230 and B300 batteries. The D050S bridges the gap, letting you add 2,048Wh or 3,072Wh of extra capacity to an older station.

Measuring about 234 × 117 × 58mm and weighing around 1.2kg, it’s easy to keep with your battery in a car, caravan or storage cupboard.

Which BLUETTI Products Work With the BLUETTI D050S?

Getting the full 500W

The BLUETTI D050S accepts up to 10A of input current, so the power you get depends on the input voltage. A 12V car socket gives about 120W, and a 24V socket about 240W. To reach the full 500W, you need around 50V of input, for example two panels in series with a combined open circuit voltage below 60V.

What does the BLUETTI D050S do?

The D050S adds extra ways to charge older BLUETTI products. It lets B230, B300, EB150 and EB240 units charge from solar panels, a car socket or a lead-acid battery. It also connects B230 and B300 batteries to the original AC200 and AC200P, and adds up to 500W of extra solar input to the AC200P and AC200MAX.

Which BLUETTI products work with the D050S?

The D050S is compatible with the BLUETTI B230, B300, B300S, EB150, EB240, AC200, AC200P and AC200MAX. It isn’t on BLUETTI’s compatibility list for newer models such as the AC70P, AC180P, AC200PL, Apex 300, Elite or Premium series. For those, the BLUETTI Charger 2 is usually the better option for vehicle and solar charging.

How much power will I get from the D050S?

It depends on the input voltage, because the D050S accepts a maximum of 10A. A 12V car socket gives about 120W, and a 24V socket about 240W. From solar, you need around 50V of input to reach the full 500W, so two panels in series (keeping the combined open circuit voltage under 60V) usually work best.

Can I charge a B230 from solar panels with the D050S?

Yes, that’s one of the D050S’s main uses. Connect it to the B230, then plug in solar panels with MC4 connectors using the included cable. Keep the total open circuit voltage between 12 and 60V. A single BLUETTI PV350D (33V) gives around 275W because of the 10A limit, while higher-voltage setups get closer to 500W.

How does the D050S boost the AC200MAX to 1,400W of solar?

The D050S connects to the AC200MAX’s expansion battery port and adds a second DC charging path alongside the station’s own 900W solar input. The D050S contributes up to 500W, bringing total solar charging to up to 1,400W. On the AC200 and AC200P, the same setup lifts total solar input to up to 1,200W.

Is the BLUETTI D050S compatible with the B80P or AC180P?

No, the D050S isn’t compatible with the B80, B80P or AC180P. The B80P has its own built-in solar and car inputs, so it doesn’t need an enhancer. For the AC180P and other newer power stations, use their built-in solar input or the BLUETTI Charger 2 for alternator and solar charging.

Should I choose the D050S or the Charger 2?

Choose the D050S if you own a B230, B300 or an older AC200-series station and want to add solar, car or lead-acid charging at up to 500W. Choose the Charger 2 if you have a newer BLUETTI power station and want faster charging on the road, since it combines alternator and solar input for up to 1,200W.
